New Delhi: In a recent development, the much-anticipated film “Maidaan”, starring Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, has announced a new release date. The schedule change has created a buzz among fans who have been eagerly waiting for the film’s release.

“Maidaan” is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao1. It is based on the life and journey of Syed Abdul Rahim, an esteemed football coach who revolutionized the sport in India. The film pays tribute to Rahim’s contribution to Indian football and his efforts to lead the sport to new heights during his tenure from 1950-1963.

The film is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. It is set to release preview shows on April 10, 2024, and will be released theatrically worldwide on April 11, 2024, coinciding with Eid.

Earlier this year, Ajay shared the first look of the film and he wrote: “Yeh kahaani hai Indian football ke golden phase ki aur uske sabse badey aur successful coach ki (This is the story of Indian football’s golden phase and of its biggest and most success coach).”

The producers have not yet disclosed the specific reasons for the change in the release date. However, such changes are not uncommon in the film industry and can be due to a variety of factors including production schedules, marketing strategies, or other logistical considerations.

Fans of Ajay Devgn and sports dramas are eagerly awaiting further updates on the new release date and other details about the film.
