NEW DELHI: As former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav of fodder scam infamy dismissed the G20 Summit held under India’s presidency as a “waste of time and money”, Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Samrat Chaudhary called him the “biggest anti-national” in India.

“Lalu Prasad Yadav is the biggest anti-national in India. People know him as chaara chor and I would like to remind him that this is why JD(U) had arrested him,” said Chaudhary.

Lalu, the president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), on Sunday, in an interview said that there has been no benefit added to the lives of the common people in India. “What’s the point of the G20 Summit? They called so many people and spent so much money, but did that benefit the citizens?” said Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Chaudhary, however, having said that Lalu was the biggest anti-national in the country, there was no way Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) did not know about it. “They came into the alliance knowing Lalu’s past,” he said.

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD and Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) are both part of the opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, which also includes Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, All India Trinamool Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Samajwadi Party, National Conference, among others.

Lalu said that the next meeting of the alliance may happen in Delhi where Deputy CM of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, will be present.
