KERALA: A day after a harrowing terror attack in Kerala that claimed the lives of two innocent individuals, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, a Christian sect, have released a statement that calls for restraint against hasty speculation regarding the identity of the perpetrators and their motives.

The statement unequivocally asserts, “At this time, it is unwise for us to speculate about the perpetrator(s) or the motive.”

In the wake of the tragedy, Jehovah’s Witnesses expressed profound sadness as they remarked, “Jehovah’s Witnesses are deeply saddened by a horrific attack on our peaceful community in Kerala, India.

About Kerala Blasts:On Sunday, at least two bombs exploded at an annual regional convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The sect also extended their heartfelt appreciation to the authorities responsible for investigating the crime and safeguarding their places of worship.

The statement read, “Jehovah’s Witnesses are very grateful for the authorities who are investigating this crime and providing protection for our places of worship.”

Furthermore, Jehovah’s Witnesses conveyed their gratitude to the swift-responding emergency medical personnel and the dedicated hospital staff tending to the critically injured, stating, “We are also thankful to the emergency medical personnel who promptly arrived on the scene to render aid, as well as hospital staff who are caring for the critically injured.”

The fateful Sunday morning in Kalamssary, Kerala, bore witness to an unimaginable tragedy as a Christian sect gathered for prayer in a convention centre.

Four devastating blasts, occurring at approximately 9:20 AM, claimed the lives of two individuals, including a young child, and leftover 50 people injured.

The victims had assembled with the simple intention of partaking in free Bible education according to the Jehovah’s Witnesses official statement.
