Mumbai: If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to step into the future of mobility, the newly launched Tesla Experience Centre in Mumbai’s BKC might be your first ticket.
Unveiled today by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, the facility isn’t just a showroom — it’s a technology theatre, a sustainability showcase, and a brand mission statement rolled into one.
Tesla’s Isabel Fan, who flew in from Singapore for the occasion, walked guests through several interactive sections:
What’s Inside:
- A virtual test drive pod with immersive screens showing Indian road conditions.
- Autopilot simulation units demonstrating Tesla’s advanced driver assistance systems.
- An Energy Wall featuring Tesla’s Powerwall, solar roof tiles, and an overview of Tesla’s grid storage technology.
- A charging tech zone, explaining the difference between Level 2 chargers and Tesla’s own Supercharging Network.
Beyond tech, there’s also a Tesla Design Lounge for customers to customise models using AR tools — from interior trims to battery packs.
Tesla confirmed that the first batch of Model 3s would be delivered in India by Diwali 2025, and a local tech support hub will go live in Navi Mumbai before that.
This Experience Centre signals the start of a more engaged consumer relationship with electric mobility in India, and more significantly, with Tesla as a cultural symbol — of sustainability, of aspiration, and of futuristic lifestyle.
