NEW DELHI: The Indian Navy is set to host the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the fifth batch of Agniveers at INS Chilka on March 7, 2025. This landmark event will celebrate the successful completion of rigorous training undertaken by approximately 2,972 Agniveers, including women Agniveers, as they embark on their journey of service to the nation.
The ceremony will be graced by Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, who will be the Chief Guest for the post-sunset event. The presence of the proud families of the Agniveers, along with high-achieving veterans and eminent sports personalities, will add to the grandeur of the occasion. Their inspiring presence is expected to motivate the Agniveers as they step into their new roles.

As part of the valedictory function, FOC-in-C, SNC will present awards and trophies to outstanding trainees and divisions. Additionally, he will unveil the latest edition of the bilingual trainees’ magazine, ‘Ankur’, showcasing the achievements and experiences of the Agniveers during their training period.

The POP marks the culmination of 16 weeks of intense Naval training, designed to instill discipline, combat readiness, and operational proficiency in the Agniveers. This event signifies their transition into a Combat-ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future-ready Indian Navy.
