NEW DELHI: The Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan has extended his greetings on the 92nd Indian Air Force (IAF) Day on October 8. This marks nearly a century of service to the nation. He conveyed his appreciation to the air warriors, veterans, and their families.

“This momentous occasion underscores the IAF’s dedication to our nation,” General Chauhan stated, emphasizing the milestone’s significance.

The 92nd IAF Day also serves to honour the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in service. General Chauhan remarked, “Their courage and dedication continue to inspire generations of Indians.”

Over the years, the IAF has played a vital role in the country’s conflicts, carried out air strikes, facilitated the evacuation of Indian citizens from conflict areas, and engaged in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions. It has also actively participated in international air exercises, showcasing its interoperability with global air forces.
