NEW DELHI: In a startling revelation, Navneet Rana, the Independent Member of Parliament from Amravati, has accused Mahua Moitra, the expelled Trinamool Congress MP, of orchestrating the recent attack on the Parliament. Rana’s incendiary remarks came during an address to the media where she passionately emphasised the sanctity of the Parliament as the heart of the nation’s democracy.

“Every citizen’s trust and faith is attached to the Parliament. When the Prime Minister of the country bows down his head, think of the belief people will have from that place,” stated Rana, highlighting the symbolic significance of the Parliament. Her impassioned speech drew parallels with previous terrorist attacks on the Parliament, stressing that these recent perpetrators, being from within the country, should face severe consequences tantamount to treason.

Rana’s fervour for justice was evident as she demanded a thorough inquiry into the incident, expressing her utmost conviction of a connection between the assailants and the expelled MP. She referred to Moitra as a ‘friend and colleague’ while asserting that the traitors were undoubtedly associated with her, thus urging authorities to take stringent actions against Moitra.

“The anger that the MP has displayed, who was expelled from Parliament as MP by a vote, inside the temple of democracy is hurting the citizens of this country,” Rana continued, voicing her dismay over the conduct of the ousted MP within the revered halls of democracy.

Mahua was expelled as Member of Parliament (MP) on the fourth day of Parliament winter session in a cash-for-query case where it was found that the TMC member was sharing her Parliamentary login credentials to a Dubai based businessman named Darshan Hiranandani.

It was alleged that she was being given cash to raise questions against Gautam Adani in the Parliament.
