IMDb’s Top 10 most popular Indian movies of 2023: Jawan & Pathaan fan-favourites!

NEW DELHI: IMDb, the movie database, recently unveiled its exclusive list of the top 10 most popular Indian films of 2023, encompassing movies that had theatrical releases between January 1 and November 6 of the same year. This highly anticipated compilation was curated based on the page views of over 200 million visitors worldwide to the site. These movies, spanning various languages, were favoured by audiences and managed to secure a user rating of 5 or more, marking them as clear fan favourites.

  • Jawan
    Topping the prestigious list was ‘Jawan’, directed by Atlee and featuring the charismatic Shah Rukh Khan. Atlee expressed his elation, describing “Jawan” as a compelling action entertainer that delves into the emotional journey of a man determined to rectify societal injustices. The overwhelming reception and adoration received from global audiences have left the director on cloud nine.

  • Pathaan
    Following closely was “Pathaan,” another Shah Rukh Khan-starrer directed by Siddharth Anand. The film marked the introduction of a new R&AW agent in the YRF spy universe. The plot revolved around the protagonist forming a special unit to thwart a terrorist, portrayed by John Abraham, from causing chaos in the country.

  • Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
    “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, garnered immense love and acclaim.
