The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday raised doubts about the investigation conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the already scrapped Delhi Excise Policy case against former Deputy Chief minister Manish Sisodia.

Presenting the details of all the 14 mobile phones that were in question, AAP said that five of them are still in the custody of the ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The rest are with Sisodia’s house staff, AAP said.

ED had alleged that Sisodia destroyed his phones, but AAP’s revelation of the phones’ whereabouts raises questions about the validity of ED’s claims. Till this afternoon, ED has not responded to allegations made by the AAP.

On Friday, AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that the ED had alleged that Manish Sisodia destroyed his phones, but many of those phones are in the ED’s custody, indicating that the whole matter is fabricated.

CM Kejriwal accused the ED of using false evidence and fabricating statements by torturing people.

“ED is fabricating statements by torturing and pressuring people. This is not a good practice. The whole matter is fabricated, and there is nothing in it,” the Delhi CM said.

Meanwhile, AAP MP Sanjay Singh demanded a public apology from ED as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and spokespersons who defamed Sisodia by creating false allegations against him of destroying 14 phones.

For the second day, AAP RS MP Sanjay Singh exposed ED’s alleged lies

On Friday, Singh exposed the false allegations fabricated by the ED against Sisodia and revealed that the 14 phones that the ED had alleged were destroyed by Sisodia were still active, with five of them in the ED’s custody itself.

Singh accused the ED and BJP of manipulating facts to mislead the court and the public to prevent Sisodia from securing bail. He said, “The ED’s investigation is nothing but a web of deceit and falsehood.”

He said that many of the IMEI numbers that the ED had earlier claimed were destroyed by Manish Sisodia were mentioned in the ED’s own seizure report.

Singh expressed his disappointment with the lack of morality among the leaders and spokespersons of the BJP, who accused former Delhi Education minister Sisodia of destroying 14 phones without any evidence. Singh demanded a public apology from the BJP leaders and campaigns that defamed Sisodia.

Singh also requested the court take stern action against the ED officers who are deliberately misleading the public and presenting false information to get bail applications cancelled.
