Lalit Kala Academy hosts art show highlighting Earth’s changing relationship with humanity. Noted environmentalist & Padma Sri Sunita Narain inaugurated exhibition titled – ‘Feminine Connection’. Artist Surmeet Kaur’s exhibition showcases adverse effects of human activity on Earth. Her artworks question self-centered attitude of human beings. She says, “We’ve poisoned the soil, which provides us everything.” Kaur wants to shatter the popular belief that Earth is our ‘Mother’. Humans have taken ‘Mother Earth’ for granted, she says. She believes Earth should be cared for and nurtured like child.
