The Indian Premier League’s (IPL) constant effort to win new audiences appears to have broken new ground, as the introduction of Bhojpuri commentary has sent the netizens into a tizzy.

The likes of Tamannah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandana wowed the audience with their moves, while Arijit Singh captivated the audience with his soulful rendition of the opening ceremony.

In sporting action, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Rashid Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Kyle Mayers and Mark Wood had already marked their presence.

However, despite some exhilarating on-field action, following an exciting opening ceremony, it is the Bhojpuri commentary that is becoming the biggest hit in the opening days.

The Bhojpuri commentary has received rave reviews from the fans and social media went into meltdown from the fans who became excited.

The legendary Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan was part of the team and his legion of fans surely played a big role in seeing their icon captivating the audience with his commentary.

“The joy of cricket, which is celebrated as a festival in India, is going to be doubled this time. We will tell you all the details of the entire match in Bhojpuri,” Kishan wrote ahead of his commentary stint.

Fans have been praising the latest addition on the JioCinema which is live-streaming the matches. Many called it the true spirit of regionalism. Many hailed the move, as they opined that the Bhojpuri commentary had added a new level of fun to the match experience.

It is not the Bhojpuri-speaking audience that is enjoying the commentary. Many non-Bhojpuri speakers also expressed happiness to listen to the commentary, some even expressed the desire to learn the language.

The ongoing Indian Premier League season can be streamed in 12 languages – English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
