“Feeling proud today”: Sanjay Shirsat on Shivaji’s birth anniversary

Speaking to The New Indian, Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Shirsat said that it instills him with a sense of pride to be celebrating this day in Agra. He said, “We’re celebrating Shiv Jayanti for the first time in Agra. Being here instills a sense of pride in us. Shivaji Maharaj taught a lesson to Mughals at this place.” 393rd birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is being organised in the Diwan-e-Aam premises of the Agra Fort on Sunday. This place holds significance since Shivaji was captured by Mughals, and held captive inside Agra Fort in 1666.
