Facility of free 5G wifi upto 1GB in Ujjain’s Mahakal Lok to devotees

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Jio 5G services at the holy shrines of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and Shri Mahakal Mahalok on December 14.

“Ujjain’s religious landmarks include the Mahakaleshwar temple and Shri Mahakaal Mahalo. Every day, lakhs of devotees from all over the country and the world flock to the shrine to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. The launch is a significant milestone for MP and its residents, who will benefit greatly from Jio’s True 5G services,” said MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

According to the Chief Minister, 5G will allow citizens and the government to stay connected in real-time and improve the implementation and efficiency of government schemes for the last-mile user.

“We are fortunate to be able to launch Jio True 5G services from the Shri Mahakaal Mahalok, which is now Madhya Pradesh’s first Jio True 5G corridor. The True 5G network will soon spread across the entire state of Madhya Pradesh. Jio is the only 5G network in the area,” said a Jio officer.

Jio is currently running a 5G beta trial and offering unlimited 5G data to select customers at no extra cost.

Reliance Jio had planned to roll out 5G services in Ujjain until November however it launched on December 14. Earlier, Jio wanted to roll out the services in Indore and Bhopal first but the Madhya Pradesh CM wanted to start 5G internet services from Mahakal city Ujjain.

According to Jio officials, Mahakal Lok will be a free wifi zone, devotees can use up to 1GB of data by using wifi of their mobile phone at the speed of 1000 Mb per second.

Mahakal Lok is the free wifi zone however the plan to roll out the services across Ujjain city is yet to be known.
