NEW DELHI/POONCH/SRINAGAR: Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad  (JeM) has granted Rs 15,000 crore (Rs 4,500 crore in Indian currency) for weapons supplies to the Pakistan Army, anticipating retaliation from the Indian military.

The number used by JeM chief Mazood Azhar and his associates is +92-3015911750 to share these messages on the announcement. The number is registered with a name Rangoor Pak.

*“Haan Pakistan walo… Rs 15,000 crore hum aapki Army ko denge. Asla khareedne ke liye. Barood khareedne ke liye,”* Azhar says in the first tape.

The New Indian has accessed three audio tapes from this number used by Masood Azhar in which he made this sensational disclosure with an aim to incite further violence in Kashmir.

JeM’s announcement and three audio clips put an end to any lingering doubts about the collusion between the Pakistan Army and wanted terrorists, including Jaish chief Masood Azhar—the mastermind behind the 2016 Pathankot attack, the 2019 Pulwama strike, and a slew of other terror assaults on  the Indian soil.

In this first tape, he explicitly names Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his enemy. *“India teri maut aayegi… India ki barbaadi tak…”* he proclaims, joined by a chorus of voices vowing destruction.

In the second tape, Azhar asserts that JeM will focus on jihad while in a third, he acknowledges, *“India ne Pakistan ke saath airspace band kar diya hai,” but hints at exploiting the land route through the Pir Panjal mountains to revive terrorism in Kashmir.

In the second tape, he warns, *“Rasoolullah ke ilawa kisi ki nahi chalne denge. Humne Islam ki hifazat ke liye asla uthaya hai. Allah ki kasam. Toofan-e-badtameezi hai,  in a clear reference to the attacks being orchestrated on the religions lines.

The tapes leaves no room for ambiguity—Azhar openly admits that both the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Rangers are assisting his men in infiltrating Indian territory.

The revelation comes at a critical juncture, as the United States and other nations, in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack (which killed 26 on April 22), have urged restraint, citing the nuclear capabilities of both countries.

While US officials strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack, they also expressed concern over escalating tensions. US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized the need to avoid a larger conflict—a stance that has raised eyebrows in India.

The intercepted audios also feature Azhar recalling his time in Tihar Jail and reigniting the Babri Masjid controversy as a rallying cry.

*“Ek qabr bani hai Pulwama mein. Pulwama ki qabristano se Srinagar ki Parliament tak jhande lehrayenge…”* he taunts, mocking the martyrs of the 2019 Pulwama attack.

Azhar confesses that he is currently based in Balakot—the same region targeted by Indian airstrikes in 2019 to dismantle terror camp with air strikes — leaving little doubt that he’s trying to rebuild, regroup and hide in the same area since 2019.

Since the April 22 attack, Pakistan has escalated unprovoked firing along the LoC in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Naushera, and Akhnoor.

The Indian Army has responded with calibrated and proportionate measures.

India has already taken stringent steps, including closing its airspace to Pakistan, suspending the Indus Waters Treaty—a six-decade-old agreement that survived four wars—and imposing a ban on all Pakistan-origin imports under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023.

Azhar invokes Mughal emperor Akbar to justify his agenda and recounts his arrest in Jammu.

*“Meri daadi noch li gayi thi…* he recalls, yet shows no remorse for orchestrating brutal attacks—including the 2001 Parliament siege, 2016 Uri, 2016 Pathankot, and 2019 Pulwama strikes—which have collectively claimed hundreds of lives.

These damning tapes once again expose the sinister nexus between Pakistan’s establishment and JeM, even as Islamabad continues to evade accountability, refusing to hand over Azhar despite overwhelming evidence.
