DOTA 2
Day 2 of Dota 2 at the Esports World Cup 2025 brought major shifts across all four groups, as several teams claimed crucial victories while others stumbled. The group stage continued in a best-of-two (BO2) round-robin format, where a clean 2–0 win earns three points, a 1–1 draw gives one point to each team, and a 0–2 loss results in zero.
In Group A, both Natus Vincere and Team Spirit delivered dominant 2–0 victories—NaVi swept Xtreme Gaming, while Spirit cleanly defeated Talon Esports. These results propelled NaVi and Spirit to the top of the group with four points each, while Talon and Xtreme dropped to the bottom with just one point each after two matches.
Group B continued to be led by BB Team, who secured another emphatic 2–0 win, this time against Execration, taking their overall tally to six points from two series. Gaimin Gladiators and Team Falcons remain in the mid-table, while Virtus.pro and Execration have yet to find any real momentum.
Group C saw surprising results that disrupted early predictions. Team Yandex, who had lost on Day 1, bounced back with a stunning 2–1 upset over Aurora, while HEROIC pulled off a massive win against tournament favorites Tundra Esports, also with a 2–1 scoreline.
Group D was expected to see action between Shopify Rebellion vs PVISION and Team Liquid vs an unnamed opponent, but both matches appear to have incomplete or placeholder results listed as 0–0. As such, the standings in this group remain largely unchanged from Day 1, with Team Liquid and PVISION still holding the lead with three points each following their opening-day sweeps.
