NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Education in the recent budget received an allocation of ₹1,28,650.05 crore, marking a 6.65% increase from the previous year. Of this, ₹78,572 crore has been earmarked for school education, while ₹50,078 crore is allocated to higher education.

One of the key highlights of this year’s budget is the government’s push for artificial intelligence (AI) in education, with the establishment of AI centers and a Center of Excellence.
He welcomed this move, stating, “The government’s emphasis on AI in education, with the establishment of AI centers and a Center of Excellence, is a breakthrough. This will usher in an era of personalized learning, making education more adaptive and efficient for each student.”
Arihant Academy is a premier coaching institute based in Mumbai, India, established in 1998. It provides comprehensive educational services across various boards and streams, including the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Kapasi praised the government’s announcement regarding the establishment of 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools over the next five years. “The expansion of 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs, along with the crucial step of ensuring broadband access in all government secondary schools, will democratize learning like never before. Nurturing innovation at the grassroots level is essential for building a vibrant and technologically advanced nation,” he said.
The budget also announced additional infrastructure planned for five IITs established after 2014, accommodating 6,500 more students, including IIT Patna.
Speaking on this, Kapasi remarked, “The expansion of capacity across 23 IITs is another significant stride towards strengthening India’s technical education ecosystem. The establishment of a Deeptech Fund of Funds and the 10,000 fellowships under the PM Research Fellowship Scheme are bold moves that will drive cutting-edge innovation. These initiatives will not only position India as a global leader in technology and research but also create exciting opportunities for our brightest minds.”
