NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has uncovered that Lawrence Bishnoi and Khalistani terrorist Goldy Brar allegedly funnelled their ill-gotten gains into a mining business through two private firms, assisted by their associate Surender, alias Chiku.

The two firms, namely MDR Enterprises Private Limited (based in Mahendergarh, Haryana) and Nimawat Granites Private Limited (based in Fatehpur Shekhawati, Sikar, Rajasthan), have now come under the scrutiny of the ED. Surender, alias Chiku, is alleged to have invested money in the mining business through these entities, with Satish Kumar and Vikash Kumar identified as the directors.

ED initiated raids at 14 premises in Rajasthan and Haryana, which are ongoing. During these searches, the ED has attached 13 properties belonging to Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and Khalistani terrorists.

An ED official told The New Indian, “Surender alias Chiku has direct relations with Laurence Bishnoi gang and Khalistani terror groups. Surender invested proceeds of crime generated in mining, liquor, and toll businesses through his allies.”

“During the investigation, it was further gathered that Satish Kumar and Vikash Kumar are directors of MDR Enterprises Private Limited, involved in Mining and quarrying, and Nimawat Granites Private Limited, involved in Quarrying of stone, sand, and clay. Surender alias Chiku has invested his illegally earned money through these companies. He laundered proceeds of crime through this,” added the official.

Various electronic devices, incriminating documents, cash ledgers, property papers, and Rs 5 lakhs in cash were seized during the search. The ED has identified 60 bank accounts for further examination.

The anti-money laundering agency discovered that Bishnoi and his aides were selling properties based on Bayana (raw contract) without a registered deed. After investigation, the ED attached 13 such properties.

The PMLA case is based on Haryana police FIRs lodged against gangster Surender alias Cheeku and his associates, closely associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and others. The gang is involved in kidnapping, murder, extortion, and cases under the Arms Act.

Surender Cheeku, as per the official, has relations with the Laurence Bishnoi gang and Khalistani terror groups, handling their crime money. He invests proceeds of crime in mining, liquor, and toll businesses.

Searches are still in progress, and Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility for the brutal killing of Punjabi singer Siddhu Singh Moosewala in 2022. Goldy Brar recently sought asylum in California through legal channels to evade Indian authorities, as per Indian dossier information. Meanwhile, Lawrence Bishnoi is currently facing numerous cases lodged against him with the NIA and several state police, and he is in custody in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail.
