Shiromani Akali Dal’s Harsimrat Kaur expressed doubts about Home minister Amit Shah’s comments on India’s drug policy.

During the winter session debate in Lok Sabha, HM Shah said that the BJP government has mapped the drug network across states.

Shah said that the NIA can help states if a probe needs to be conducted outside the country. “Borders are the responsibility of the central government, but when we give rights to BSF, it’s said that the rights of states are being taken, now how will BSF work there? BSF seizes drugs but doesn’t have the right to file a case, those politicising this issue are promoting drug trafficking,” he said.
