DPS students celebrate Raksha Bandhan with CISF personnel

NEW DELHI: Delhi Public School (DPS) Indirapuram marked the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

As part of the celebration, students visited the CISF camp, where they tied the sacred thread of Rakhi on the wrists of CISF personnel.

This traditional gesture, symbolizing protection and care, was made even more meaningful by the handmade cards the students presented. These cards expressed the children’s deep appreciation for the unwavering courage and sacrifice of the CISF jawans who protect our nation.

The event, held in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), was designed to instil values of patriotism, respect, and responsibility in young students. students from Nursery to Class V participated in the celebrations.

The celebration was a well-rounded experience, blending tradition with creativity. The young students not only participated in the Rakhi ceremony but also delivered short speeches about the significance of Raksha Bandhan, emphasizing the virtuous bond between brothers and sisters. To further enhance the festive spirit, the students performed a lively song and dance, bringing smiles and joy to the CISF personnel.

The event was a collaborative effort, with students, teachers, and parents all playing a vital role in its success. The focus was not just on celebrating the festival but also on reinforcing the importance of moral values such as discipline, patriotism, and respect for duty.
