NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police have formally charged a 23-year-old trans woman, Shifali, for the alleged cold-blooded murder of a man, Ram, as part of a revenge plot to avenge her boyfriend Deepak’s jail term.

Sources close to the investigation revealed to The New Indian that Shifali harboured intentions of marrying her boyfriend, Deepak. Unfortunately, Deepak found himself in police custody, leading to Shifali’s belief that Ram played a pivotal role in his arrest. Convinced of Ram’s involvement, she hatched a sinister plan to seek retribution.

The crime unfolded as Shifali invited Ram to a liquor gathering near Moti Bagh Metro Station, armed with a knife. The elaborate scheme involved serving Ram more alcohol before fatally stabbing him multiple times once he became heavily intoxicated. Shifali swiftly fled the crime scene after carrying out the gruesome act.

The Case:

The incident came to light on November 12 last year when a PCR call reported the discovery of a male body near Moti Bagh Metro Station. Two blood-stained broken steel blades were found at the scene, prompting the police to initiate an investigation under Section 302 of the IPC. The victim was later identified as 30-year-old Ram.

Arrest:

Shifali’s presence near the crime scene during the time of the murder became apparent during police investigations. Authorities set a trap after learning that she frequented holy places in Moti Nagar for meals. She was apprehended while eating, and during interrogation, Shifali confessed to the crime.

Personal Revelations:

During the interrogation, Shifali disclosed her personal journey, revealing that despite being born male, she had always been attracted to men and underwent a transition to become Shifali under her Guru’s guidance.

Love Story:

The roots of the tragic incident trace back five years when Shifali met Deepak, and their friendship evolved into a romantic relationship. Shifali had aspirations of marrying him, but Deepak’s arrest in connection with a theft case shattered those dreams. Unravelling the layers of the story, Shifali sought revenge upon discovering Ram’s alleged role in Deepak’s incarceration.
