Delhi CM Announces Rs 10L For Two Amarnath Tragedy Victims

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday met with the family members and relatives of two women pilgrims who died in the Amarnath cloudburst incident at their residence in Delhi.

Beermati (55) and Prakashi (61) were relatives and lived in the same locality in Madangir. On Friday, their family members received information about being missing after a cloudburst near Amarnath Shrine.

They were later given the information that they were no more. On Sunday, their dead bodies were transported to Delhi.

 

Kejriwal, after meeting with their family members, announced Rs 10 lakh in compensation as financial aid to the family members of both the deceased.
