NEW DELHI: In a major step towards strengthening security training and academic collaboration, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in New Delhi.

The agreement marks a new chapter in capacity building, innovation, and research in the field of national security.

The MoU was formally signed at a special ceremony held at the CISF Headquarters by Professor (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor of RRU, and Dinesh Pratap Parihar, Inspector General (Training), CISF.

Under this partnership, RRU — a premier national security university under the Ministry of Home Affairs — will offer a range of academic and training services to CISF. The key highlights of the MoU include:

  • Strategic partnership for academic and training collaboration in security-related fields.

  • Joint training programs such as certificate courses, workshops, and seminars tailored to CISF’s needs.

  • Focus on research and innovation to address real-world security challenges through joint projects.

  • Customized capacity building programs using the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform.

  • Knowledge sharing through access to subject matter experts and institutional resources.

The collaboration aims to enhance the professional skills of CISF personnel and promote innovation-led solutions in the security domain. It also reinforces the government’s emphasis on modernizing security forces through education and technology-driven initiatives.
