Auto Driver Loads 27 Passengers, Stunned UP Police Challan Him

NEW DELHI/FATEHPUR: Policemen in Uttar Pradesh were left stunned after stopping an auto-rickshaw to find that the driver was carrying 27 passengers.

The matter came to the fore on Sunday at Lilauli Chowk of Kotwali area when some residents from Mehraha village were returning home after offering ‘namaz’. They were all stuffed in a three-wheeler auto.

A team from Fatehpur district was checking at Lilauli Chowk when they spotted this vehicle as it was looking overloaded. A video of them counting the passengers went viral.

Later on, the driver was challaned and the vehicle was seized as he was risking the life of the people by overloading the vehicle.
