Ambani family lights up sangeet with ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ dance performance

MUMBAI: The Ambani family showcased their glamorous side at the sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Friday evening. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani, and their family took to the dance floor, delivering a breathtaking performance to Shah Rukh Khan’s hit song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ from the movie Om Shanti Om.

This celebration was part of the pre-wedding festivities for their son, Anant Ambani, and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant.

Held at the prestigious Jio World Centre, the sangeet was a star-studded affair. Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s dance moves left everyone in awe. Nita Ambani, in a stunning pink lehenga, mesmerized the audience with her Bharatnatyam skills, earning the loudest applause of the night. Mukesh Ambani complemented her in a stylish navy blue kurta pyjama paired with a matching jacket.

The video of the performance shows Akash Ambani and Anand Piramal taking centre stage, soon joined by Isha Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Nita Ambani, and others, winning the hearts of everyone present. Anant and Radhika, deeply in sync, danced joyfully to the popular Bollywood tune, adding a personal touch to the celebration.

 

Celebrities such as Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor graced the event, adding to the glamour. The wedding celebrations kicked off with the Mameru ceremony at the Ambani residence, Antilia, in Mumbai on Wednesday. Anant and Radhika are set to marry on July 12, with a series of grand events planned at the Jio World Centre in BKC.

Mukesh Ambani extended a personal invitation to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The distribution of wedding invitations began with Nita Ambani, the chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, offering the first invite at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, seeking divine blessings for the couple’s union.

The primary wedding events will commence on July 12 with the Shubh Vivah or wedding ceremony, featuring a dress code of Indian traditional attire. On July 13, the Shubh Aashirwad event will take place, with guests requested to wear Indian formal attire. The festivities will conclude on July 14 with the Mangal Utsav or wedding reception, where the dress code will be Indian chic.
