Akhilesh’s Chopper Delayed For Take Off In Delhi; Alleges BJP Conspiracy

NEW DELHI: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, who was set to address a press conference in Muzaffarnagar along with alliance partner Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary on Friday alleged that his helicopter was not allowed to take off from Delhi whereas another chopper carrying BJP leader was allowed to fly.

Yadav tweeted: “My helicopter is still being held in Delhi for no reason and not being allowed to go to Muzaffarnagar. Meanwhile, a helicopter with a top leader of BJP has taken off. This is a conspiracy by BJP which is going to lose in the elections.”

Akhilesh Yadav was supposed to address a press conference in Muzaffarnagar with Jayant Chaudhary at 1.10 pm and in Meerut at 3 pm.

The helicopter was allowed to take off from Delhi around 3 pm.

The assembly elections in political state is scheduled in seven phases from February 10 to March 7, where the Samajwadi Party is eyeing a comeback in the polls. The ruling BJP is looking for a second consecutive term in the state.
