NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has been arrested in connection with alleged Liquor Policy scam by ED. His house was raided in the morning by ED officials.
Meanwhile, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has slammed the BJP led Center by calling the incident ‘as a desperate attempt of curbing down voices.

The Delhi CM said, “ED raid at MP Sanjay Singh’s house proves that the already-losing BJP is now resorting to desperate attempts of curbing down voices.”
AAP has called the investigation futile and claimed that nothing will be found. “Similar to the 15-month investigation, nothing of corruption will be found at Sanjay Singh’s place, even if they raid it ten times,” said AAP MLA Atishi.

Kejriwal also mentioned about the NewsClick case where the office of the media outlet was raided and two arrests- founder and editor Prabir Purkhayasta and HR Amit Chakravarty- has been made.
“These people are losing the 2024 election, that’s why- first journalists and now Sanjay Singh are being raided, more are in line,” he said.

Delhi Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai claimed that there is panic among the BJP government ahead of the general elections of 2024. He said “BJP and PM are losing the next election and that’s why there is a raid at Sanjay Singh’s place due to this panic.”

Kejriwal also took the opportunity to remember Manish Sisodia who is in jail right now. He said, “Crores of people are praying for Manish Sisodia, and we have full hope that justice will be served by the Supreme Court.”
