Complaint alleges school principal threatened the boy’s father to ruin his future

MORADABAD: A teacher thrashed a minor student mercilessly that he ended up in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

Divyansh Pal (13) is a student of privately-run Aryans Public School.

According to his family members, the boy was hit on his chest by a teacher named Pushkar Chauhan. As a result, the student collapsed on the spot but the teacher kept dealing him blows and kicks.

When his situation deteriorated, the minor student was rushed to Sri Sai Super Specialty Hospital where doctors admitted him to the ICU.

Police have now lodged an FIR against the teacher and the school based on a complaint filed by his father Vijaypal Singh at Majhola police station.

When a family member approached the school principal, Hemant Jha, at the hospital seeking some resolution, he was “extremely rude” and said he could destroy the future of the seventh grader.

The accused have been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and Section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).

The case is now being investigated by sub inspector Meghraj Singh.
