During a light, unscripted exchange on his conversation with Senior Journalist Rohan Dua, fitness entrepreneur Mike Chang opened up about the philosophy behind his once-viral brand Six-Pack Shortcuts — before admitting, with a laugh, that fatherhood has softened his own abs.

Explaining the idea behind the fitness program that made him a global internet sensation, Chang said the name came from his minimalist, no-nonsense approach to training.

“Six-Pack Shortcuts — a shortcut to six-pack abs,” he said. “People make things so complicated. I look at it in an 80-20 lens. When someone needs to shed fat or build muscle, it’s really simple. Just a couple things. Forget everything else.”

Chang said the idea was built around simplicity, not trends.

“Everybody likes to have a six-pack. And here’s the shortcut way,” he added.

That’s when Rohan Dua jumped in with a mischievous question:

“Do you have it right now?”

Chang immediately burst into laughter as he lifted his shirt slightly off-camera.

“It’s… kind of,” he joked. “Let’s see. It’s not the same as before. Becoming a father takes away all the six packs.”

The honest, self-deprecating moment captured the softer, more personal side of the man once known for his shredded physique and viral workout challenges — and showed that even the creator of Six-Pack Shortcuts isn’t immune to the realities of parenthood.
