NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Satish Mahana attended the Delhi Legislative Assembly’s Budget Session as a guest on Tuesday.
Welcomed by Delhi Assembly Speaker Shri Vijender Gupta, Mahana acknowledged the historical importance of the assembly, noting its past role in parliamentary proceedings.
Commenting on the Delhi government’s 2025-26 budget, Mahana described it as the “Budget of Delhi’s Soul,” highlighting its 31% increase over the previous year and focus on capital expenditure, public welfare, and Yamuna river cleanup. While his remarks praised the budget’s vision, the fiscal plan’s effectiveness will depend on its implementation and impact on Delhi’s residents.
The session saw cross-party discussions, with the opposition yet to present its detailed response.
