26 Years| Sukhwinder Tells Why Chaiyya Chaiyya Is Still A Hit, Gift He Got From AR Rahman| Rohan Dua

In this interview held in Mumbai with the famous host and Executive Editor Rohan Dua, Bollywood’s iconic singer @SukhwinderSinghOfficial , who won Oscar award for his Jai Ho Song in Slumdog Millionare, makes startling sensation on his first meeting with music composer @ARRahman in late 90s. He fields questions if Rahman took most credit at the 81st Academy Award show but insists he has now forgotten the incident. He reveals how he first recorded song for the film Thakshak for which he wrote a song which earned him sweets by Rahman, followed by a four-star hotel stay offered by him in @ChennaiWaalaaOfficial . Sukhwinder also shares how he first earned title of Ramta Jogi by @SubhashGhaiofficial , leading to recording of the song that was added later to the 1999-film Taal featuring Akshaye Khanna, @AnilKapoor-mh2yb and Aishwarya Rai. Sukhwinder also reveals how he worked with lyricist and writer Jaideep and music composer duo Salim-Sulaiman in Chak De India and Shah rukh Khan-starrer Rab De Bana Di Jodi in 2008. He also recalls his songs Chinnamma Chilakkamma, “Woh Kisna Hai”, #Omkara, Beedi and working with music composers like Vishal Bhardwaj, Anu Malik and Vishal Shekhar.
