As India gears up for the 2024 general election, the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh stands poised to play a crucial role. This electoral event will determine the fate of two members representing the state in the 18th Lok Sabha. Notably, the Legislative Assembly elections will also be conducted concurrently with the general election, further intensifying the political fervour in the region.

Number of Voters:-
The total number of voters has not been revealed yet however in the 2019 elections, over 6,52,091 people voted. 64047 people voted in the Arunachal West constituency while 295719 people voted in Arunachal East.

2019 Lok Sabha Results:-
Tapir Gao of the BJP won the Arunachal East constituency in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, securing 153883 votes while 83935 votes were polled in favour of Lowangcha Wanglat of the INC. Tapir Gao won with a massive margin of 69948. From Arunanchal West, Kiren Rajiju won by a margin of 1,74,843. BJP registered a historic mandate in the last elections, winning 282 seats – an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha.
