Y+ security to Shah Rukh Khan after death threat

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been provided with Y+ security by the Maharashtra government after he allegedly received death threats following the success of his two films, Jawan and Pathan, this year.

Khan had submitted a written complaint to the state government stating that he had been receiving life threats since the success of his films.

In response, the state government ordered the Inspector General of Police to upgrade Khan’s security arrangements. Under Y+ security, Khan will be protected by a team of six trained commandos from the state’s VIP security unit, armed with MP5 guns, AK-47 assault rifles, and Glock pistols.

Additionally, four Mumbai Police personnel armed with weapons will guard Khan’s house around the clock. When Khan travels by car, there will be a trained commando in his convoy, along with a traffic clearance vehicle.
