New Delhi: The wedding of Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter Harshita with Sambhav Jain was solemnized at Kapurthala House in a traditional ceremony that began at 6 PM.
Pandit Shamveer Sharma, the chief priest who conducted the rituals, shared, “The ‘shaadi shaam 6 baje shuru hui thi’ (wedding started at 6 PM). I blessed the couple for a long and healthy married life.”
When asked about performing weddings for common people versus high-profile families, the priest remarked, “I go to perform marriages at every household—whether it’s a jhuggi resident or a palace owner.” He revealed that Kejriwal himself performed the ‘Kanyadaan’ ritual and praised the ceremony, calling it “the best ‘Lagan’ (auspicious timing) for a wedding.”
AAP leader Durgesh Pathak, who attended the celebrations, expressed his joy, saying, “Today is a day of celebration for all of us. Harshita has begun a beautiful new chapter with Sambhav. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Jain and Kejriwal families. May God bless them with eternal happiness.”
The grand affair, held at a luxury venue, saw prominent figures like Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, AAP’s Manish Sisodia and Raghav Chadha, and singer Mika Singh in attendance. The festivities were filled with music and dance, with Kejriwal himself joining in the celebrations.
Viral photos captured the Former CM, along with his colleagues and Mika Singh, enjoying the joyous occasion.
The wedding perfectly blended tradition, political camaraderie, and star-studded glamour, making it one of Delhi’s most memorable social events.
