Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu takes oath as CM Himachal Pradesh

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Himachal along with Mukesh Agnihotri as his deputy in the presence of the entire top leadership of the Congress party including  Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chief Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Sachin Pilot.

Several other leaders like party treasurer Pawan Bansal, senior party leader Anand Sharma, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, State unit chief Pratibha Singh, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, state in-charge Rajiv Shukla, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala, Pawan Khera, Mukul Wasnik, Partap Singh Bajwa, Alka Lamba were also present.

Before Sukhu took oath, he introduced Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Kharge with his mother and wife, who also came to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Rahul Gandhi then asked Sukhu to make her mother sit on the stage to view the swearing-in ceremony of his son.

His wife Kamlesh Thakur also met Rahul Gandhi and other leaders including his two daughters.

The senior Congress leaders then paid floral tribute to Virbhadra Singh, who led the state for six times.

Pilot, who was the observer of Himachal Pradesh had played a prominent role in the victory of the grand old party in the hill state as he campaigned extensively.

Pilot along with Priyanka Gandhi had campaigned aggressively in the state seeking vote in favour of Congress.

The Ridge Ground in Shimla’s picturesque town wore a colorful view with party workers raising slogans for Sukhu and his deputy Mukesh Agnihotri.

As Pratibha Singh arrived at the stage, the crowd raised the slogans for Virbhadra Singh and Rajaji Amar rahe. The crowd also raised slogans for Sukhu and Agnihotri.
