NEW DELHI: S8UL has officially entered Apex Legends esports by signing an all-Australian competitive roster for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, becoming one of the first Indian organizations to make a global push in this fast-paced battle royale title.
Renowned as a global force in esports and gaming content, S8ULโs announcement marks a major milestoneโboth in its own journey and for Indian representation on the international Apex Legends stage.
The team was announced late on April 10 and becomes S8ULโs first roster reveal linked to its EWC 2025 campaign.

Experienced Aussie Lineup, Championship Pedigree
At the forefront is Rick โSharkyโ Wirth, a name synonymous with Apex Legends excellence. Sharky gained global recognition after winning the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS): 2022 Championship with DarkZero Esports, where his team secured $500,000 (approx. โน4.3 crore) in prize winnings. Most recently, he competed under Team Burger and represented in EWC 2024, bringing with him career earnings of over $320,000 (approx. โน2.7 crore) and a tournament-hardened mindset.
Joining Sharky are Benjamin โJeskoโ Spaseski and Tom โLegacyโ Canty, former teammates at London-based Guild Esports. Together, they participated in several major competitions including the ALGS: 2024 Championship, and finished among the top 10 at EWC 2024. As a duo, theyโve earned over $150,000 (approx. โน1.2 crore) in prize money and are celebrated for their in-game synergy and consistent high-impact performances.

Harrison โRogersโ Rogers has been brought on as the teamโs coach. Known for his tactical acumen and deep knowledge of the Apex Legends competitive ecosystem, Rogers brings critical strategic direction to the squad.

The Esports World Cup 2025 is shaping up to be the largest multi-title esports event in history, gathering over 2,000 elite players and 200 top clubs. With a staggering $70 million (approx. โน602 crore) in total prize money, it promises to be a game-changer for the global esports landscape.
Out of this, $27 million is allocated for the EWC Club Championship, which will reward the top 16 clubs based on overall performance. The 2025 Club Champion alone will take home $7 million, while the rest of the prize pool will be distributed across individual game championships, MVP awards, and the Road to EWC qualifiers.
