New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter, Harshita Kejriwal got engaged at a private ceremony at hotel Shangri La in Delhi on Thursday.

Harshita exchanged rings with her beau Sambhav Jain at a ceremony that was called “sagai, god bharai and sangeet” at a closed-door event that also saw attendance by a battery of ministers from Punjab, including CM Bhagwant Mann, apart from Kejriwal and his wife Sunita.
Jain works as a project management consultant at a private firm.
The Jain family was the host of the event that was largely attended by only members of two families.
Notably, no celebrities were invited, and even senior AAP leader and ex CM Atishi was conspicuous by absence.
Former Delhi dy CM Manish Sisodia and his wife were also seen at the ceremony.
The hotel had only displayed the names of Harshita and Sambhav, omitting parents’ details.
Publicly, Harshita and Sambhav have exchanged congratulatory notes on LinkedIn in a professional capacity, one of which featured Harshita applauding Sambhav’s work milestone.
Despite these visible interactions, the two families have managed to keep the ceremony a well-guarded secret.
Harshita, the 29-year-old daughter is the elder child of Kejriwals, is a proud alumnus of IIT Delhi.
Her brother Pulkit also had cracked the JEE.
Both siblings have followed their father’s footsteps. The Kejriwal senior is a product of IIT Kharagpur.
