Rajak Abused Me: Lalu’s Elder Son Storms Out Of Father’s Coronation

Tej Pratap Yadav

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s mercurial eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav stormed out of the national executive meeting, on the day the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch was elected as the party president for the 12th time.

Tej Pratap Yadav accused fellow party leader Shyam Rajak of using expletives at his sister as well as his personal assistant before walking out of the meeting in New Delhi.

He also described Rajak as an agent of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and said that he should be expelled from the party.

“He abused me when I called him to find out about the timing of the party meeting. Rajak also used expletives on my sister and my PA too. I have the audio too, which I will post on my page and then the people of Bihar will know the truth,” Tej Pratap Yadav said while coming out of the meeting.

Meanwhile, Rajak, in his response to the allegations, said: “I have nothing to say about Tej Pratap’s allegations.”

“Since he became a minister, he does not pick up the phone, he calls the PA. When we were ministers, we used to talk directly to everyone,” Razak said.

“A person who is capable has the right to say anything. I am from the Dalit community. A Dalit is a bonded labourer, I am a bonded labourer. Whatever they are saying, they are saying it on the basis of their ability,” the RJD leader added.

However, the incident seems to have rattled the RJD leader. He apparently got tense and fainted. He was later seen being taken to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, trouble seems to be brewing within the RJD as state president Jagdanand Singh skipped the two-day national convention, which began in New Delhi on Sunday.

However, RJD RS MP Manoj Jha said that Singh’s absence does not mean that he is not with the party. “He was, he will, and he will be there at the party,” Jha added.
