NEW DELHI: The Punjab Government’s investor-friendly policies under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are delivering remarkable results, attracting the attention of global business leaders.
In a major development, a high-level Japanese delegation met Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan today and expressed keen interest in making large-scale investments in the state — signaling a strong boost to Punjab’s industrial and economic landscape.
The delegation, led by Mr. Shintaro Hachiga (CEO) and Mr. Takamasa Suji (COO) of Japan’s renowned Fit Founder Co. Ltd., conveyed their intent to partner in Punjab’s growth story. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan welcomed the delegation and emphasized that Punjab, once primarily known as an agrarian state, is now rapidly emerging as India’s next industrial powerhouse.

Under this system, all essential clearances are issued within 45 days, underscoring the state’s commitment to swift and efficient governance.
Sandhwan noted that Punjab’s reformed industrial policies have built a trustworthy and investor-centric environment. He assured the Japanese delegation that the state offers immense potential for growth across sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, food processing, and technology.
Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit
The Speaker also invited the delegation to participate in the ‘Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit,’ a flagship platform that facilitates continuous dialogue between the government and domestic as well as international investors. This forum, he said, has been instrumental in shaping Punjab’s image as a pro-business and globally competitive destination.
