NEW DELHI: Mahindra & Mahindra has officially introduced its much-anticipated electric SUV, the BE 6e, at an introductory price of ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This launch signifies a major step forward in Mahindra’s efforts to drive electric mobility in India.

 

The BE 6e is built on Mahindra’s “Born Electric” platform, designed to meet the increasing demand for affordable yet premium electric vehicles (EVs). It boasts a sleek, aerodynamic design paired with advanced features that prioritize performance and sustainability. The SUV delivers an impressive range of 400 kilometres on a single charge, powered by a high-capacity battery and electric motor, making it ideal for city and intercity commutes.

Inside, the BE 6e offers a tech-forward experience, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and seamless smartphone integration. Additionally, it comes equipped with safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), ensuring a secure driving experience.

 

With this launch, Mahindra enters direct competition with established players like Tata’s Nexon EV Max and MG’s ZS EV, aiming to carve a niche in India’s growing mid-range EV segment. Its competitive pricing strategy positions the BE 6e as a strong contender for customers seeking high performance without compromising on affordability.
