INOX Air Products is investing ₹500 crore in a Gujarat hub to supply ultra-high purity gases for India’s growing semiconductor industry. The facility will manufacture and deliver essential gases, supporting “Make in India” and attracting global chipmakers.

NEW DELHI: INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India’s leading industrial and electronic gas producer, has announced a strategic investment to bolster the country’s burgeoning semiconductor and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) sectors.

Earlier this year, the company acquired a key land parcel in Dholera, Gujarat, for the development of an Electronic Specialty Gas Hub, currently in advanced planning stages.

The Hub is designed to manufacture and supply Ultra High Purity (UHP) gases—including Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, and Hydrogen—essential for advanced semiconductor fabrication. Serving as both a production and fulfilment centre, the facility aims to ensure contamination-free, reliable delivery to semiconductor fabs and OSAT units nationwide.

The ₹500 crore investment will expand gas purification capacities, establish import-linked supply chains for critical gases, and implement advanced logistics and packaging solutions.

The initiative aligns with INOXAP’s long-term vision to integrate India into the global high-tech ecosystem, supporting next-generation semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.

Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, said:
“INOXAP is proud to invest in Dholera, reinforcing our commitment to building a self-reliant supply chain for India’s semiconductor ambitions. With this Hub, we are laying the foundation for world-class infrastructure that can power the growth of global chipmakers and electronics manufacturers choosing India. This initiative supports Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, enabling India to compete globally.”

INOXAP is already supporting India’s first semiconductor investment in Gujarat, highlighting its readiness to serve advanced fabs with ultra-high purity gases and contamination-free delivery systems.

The company operates six large Air Separation Units in Gujarat, producing Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, and Liquid Argon for multiple manufacturing sectors, including semiconductors and solar cells.

Ultra-high purity specialty and bulk gases are critical for semiconductor fabrication, enabling precision in etching, deposition, doping, and chamber cleaning. Their purity ensures wafer integrity, optimal device performance, and high fabrication yield.
