NEW DELHI: In a landmark move set to reshape India’s mobile gaming landscape, smartphone brand Infinix has partnered with top-tier BGMI Esports team True Rippers to form the ‘Infinix True Rippers’. This is Infinix’s first-ever Esports team collaboration globally and underscores its commitment to strengthening India’s gaming ecosystem ahead of the highly anticipated launch of its GT 30 Pro gaming smartphone on June 3.
With this partnership, True Rippers will now compete under the new Infinix banner, highlighting a deeper strategic alignment between cutting-edge technology and competitive gaming. Known for its high-performance features tailored to gamers, the GT 30 Pro will support 120 FPS gameplay, certified by BGMI’s publisher Krafton, and come equipped with dual gaming shoulder triggers—a segment-first innovation designed to give competitive players an edge.
Infinix India CEO Anish Kapoor said the collaboration reflects a larger mission:
“At Infinix, we’re not just witnessing the gaming revolution—we’re driving it. This partnership is rooted in a shared belief—that gaming in India is more than just play; it’s a powerful aspiration for the youth. Today’s gamers seek recognition, purpose, and identity, and we’re proud to support this new generation of Esports athletes.”
Empowering the Esports Ecosystem: From Tournaments to Co-Creation
The alliance builds on Infinix’s grassroots initiatives like the GT Powerplay Tournament and signifies a major leap in backing top-tier gaming talent. Currently, the newly rebranded Infinix True Rippers are competing in Krafton’s invite-only BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2025, and they recently secured a sixth-place finish at the BGMI India Series (BGIS) held in Kolkata last month. The BMPS 2025 grand finale is set to take place in New Delhi next month.

“We’re not just building one of the best BGMI lineups in the country—we’re connecting with our young audience through content and community. Infinix shares our passion for performance and storytelling, and this collaboration is a step towards redefining brand engagement in Esports.”

India remains one of the world’s fastest-growing gaming markets, boasting over 454 million gamers in 2023, with projections crossing 730 million by 2028. According to Niko Partners, over 65% of Indian gamers either play, watch Esports, or participate in tournaments, with BGMI serving as a primary driver of this engagement. Data from Esports Charts shows that BGIS 2025 saw 485,132 peak concurrent viewers and over 9.4 million watch hours, demonstrating the immense potential for brands like Infinix to connect directly with this booming community.
As the GT 30 Pro gears up for launch, Infinix’s bold entry into the competitive gaming space via this partnership positions it at the forefront of India’s Esports revolution—creating an ecosystem where innovation, talent, and community thrive together.
