NEW DELHI: The sequel to the 2020 romantic comedy Ginny Weds Sunny has officially commenced filming. Titled Ginny Weds Sunny 2, the film introduces a fresh lead pair: Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr. The shooting is currently underway in the scenic locales of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
Produced by Vinod Bachchan under the Soundrya Production banner, the sequel is written and directed by Prasshant Jha.

The original film featured Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam and was well-received for its blend of humor and romance.
Sharing the news on social media, producer Vinod Bachchan expressed his enthusiasm:
“Super excited to tell you that we have begun our shoot for the much beloved Ginny Weds Sunny 2! I look forward to your blessings on this wonderful day! Your love and blessings towards the film can make this something special!”
The new leads bring their own acclaim to the project. Avinash Tiwary is known for his roles in films like Laila Majnu, while Medha Shankr garnered attention for her performance in 12th Fail. Their pairing is anticipated to bring a fresh dynamic to the sequel.
