Four Individuals Infiltrated The Parliament Building

In a security breach on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack, four individuals were detained for infiltrating the premises, carrying smoke canisters emitting unidentified yellow smoke. Two separate incidents unfolded as two men jumped from the visitors’ gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber, while another man and a woman were detained outside Parliament, releasing red and yellow smoke.

The Delhi Police’s Special Cell is set to investigate both incidents, suspecting a connection between the intruders. Security measures were promptly heightened in the area following the breach.

The Lok Sabha session resumed at 2 pm, with Speaker Om Birla expressing concern and initiating an inquiry in collaboration with Delhi Police. Despite initial shock, Members of Parliament displayed resilience by overpowering the intruders and even resorting to physical force against one of them.
