As the world confronts accelerating technological disruption, geopolitical instability, and a global mental-health crisis, a new question is emerging across industries: What does leadership look like in an era defined by exponential change?

For impact entrepreneur Kunal Sood, the answer begins with a simple idea—technology must elevate human beings, not replace them.

Sood’s latest venture, AudacityAI, embodies this philosophy. Positioned at the intersection of ancient wisdom, modern science, and responsible innovation, the initiative proposes an emerging framework for aligning artificial intelligence with human potential, values-driven decision-making, and long-term societal wellbeing. Rather than optimizing solely for efficiency, AudacityAI focuses on expanding creativity, emotional intelligence, and the inner capacities that set humans apart.

For more than a decade, Sood has built global movements that bring world leaders, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, and next-generation changemakers to the same table. From convenings at the United Nations General Assembly to fast-growing digital communities, his work consistently aims to bridge sectors, demographics, and geographies to address global challenges with human-centered leadership.

We The Future (WTF): A Global Movement Born Out of Crisis

In October 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sood launched We The Future (WTF) as a subsidiary of his earlier initiative, We The Planet. Hosted on the rapidly scaling audio platform Clubhouse, WTF quickly emerged as one of the app’s most active global communities for impact and innovation.

Within months, Clubhouse highlighted WTF in its official product updates for its role in elevating substantive dialogue across a user base that soon surpassed ten million. The community focused on “the Future of Everything”—pandemic resilience, mental health, climate action, the rise of generative AI, and the leadership models needed for a world in transition.

Designed with intentionality, WTF became an ecosystem where cross-disciplinary collaboration could emerge organically. From young founders to cultural icons, Sood structured the platform to amplify voices often overlooked in traditional leadership settings.

Curating Voices That Shape Culture and Innovation

Sood earned recognition for convening conversations that blended influence, expertise, and cultural relevance. Among the notable figures he hosted:

  • Bob Pittman, CEO of iHeartMedia, on the future of audio and digital media
  • Ricky Kej, Grammy Award–winning composer, on environmental action
  • Raghava KK, pioneering artist, on NFTs and the evolution of digital creativity
  • Tiffany Haddish, actress and philanthropist, during relief efforts for the Texas winter storm
  • Daymond John, founder and Shark Tank investor, on resilience and entrepreneurship
  • Paris Hilton, activist and creator, on human-trafficking prevention
  • Andrew Yang, former U.S. presidential candidate, on the future of governance and cities

Sood also co-curated “Imagination in Action” alongside innovation leader John Werner, a series focused on creativity, exponential technologies, and the power of imagination to drive real-world impact.

A Global Platform for Women Leaders

In March 2021, WTF produced the first-ever two-day audio-only summit in honor of International Women’s Day. The event opened with remarks byPhumzile Mlambo-Ngcukaa, then Executive Director of UN Women, and brought together leaders including:

  • Randi Zuckerberg
  • Loren Ridinger
  • Fadia Kader
  • Swan Sit
  • Kat Cole

The summit created space for women around the world to participate in real-time dialogue—transcending geography, access barriers, and traditional conference structures. The momentum helped propel WTF to more than 110,000 members within six months, making it one of the fastest-growing communities in the impact space.

From the United Nations to AudacityAI: Leadership for a New Era

Before the pandemic, Sood was a familiar presence at the United Nations General Assembly, where he convened heads of state, CEOs, scholars, and emerging leaders on issues spanning climate resilience, innovation, and global mental health. His earlier initiative, We The Planet, similarly focused on intergenerational leadership and planetary protection.

His work entered a new phase with the launch of AudacityAI, formally introduced during the United Nations General Assembly and covered by The Economic Times, Gadgets360, New Indian, and other international outlets.

AudacityAI articulates a clear thesis: the future of leadership demands the integration of human creativity, compassion, intuition, and moral courage with increasingly powerful technological systems. Its principles emphasize:

  • Human agency and dignity
  • Emotional, cultural, and spiritual intelligence
  • Interoperability across systems and platforms
  • Cognitive science and evolutionary psychology
  • Ethical alignment and collaborative governance

“The next frontier of leadership is not about building machines that think for us,” Sood has said. “It’s about creating systems that help humans imagine, feel, and create at their highest potential.”

A Career Defined by Interdisciplinary Impact

Sood’s work is shaped by experiences that span scientific research, entrepreneurship, and global convening. His early career included serving as a research scientist with Harvard, where he worked in the slums of Mumbai, and later curating the first TEDx event at the United Nations. Over two decades, he has convened more than 80 global summits, collaborating with leaders across disciplines.

His previous roles include serving as Chief Impact Officer at the Chopra Foundation and Director of Social Impact at Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE). His contributions have earned recognition such as:

  • The World Innovation Award
  • The UN Media for Social Impact Award
  • The RoundGlass Samsara Lifetime Achievement Award presented at India’s Parliament

Forbes has previously identified Sood as both an Icon of Impact and a Movement Builder—reflecting his dual focus on systems change and scalable community engagement.

Toward a Future Driven by Human-Centered Leadership

Across his initiatives—AudacityAI, We The Planet, and We The Future—Sood is advancing a vision of leadership grounded in empathy, imagination, and human potential. His work blends technology, public policy, community development, and storytelling into a unified effort to prepare individuals and institutions for the complexities of the 21st century.

Underlying each project is a consistent theme: cultivating environments where human potential can expand, collaboration can flourish, and global challenges can be met with creativity and purpose.

As the world navigates the rise of artificial intelligence and shifting global dynamics, Sood’s bet is clear—the leaders who will define the future are those who elevate humanity, not those who replace it.
