NEW DELHI: The battlegrounds ignited with firepower and brilliance as Day 1 of the BMPS 2025 Grand Finals wrapped up. Six entertaining matches, bringing the best of Indian esports talent head-to-head. With a ₹4 crore prize pool, 16 teams, and 72 matches scheduled, fans were treated to a thrilling opening day. The winning team will be presented with the prestigious opportunity to represent India at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The standout performer of the day was undoubtedly 4Merical Esports (4M). Who not only bagged three Chicken Dinners (Game 2, 3, and 6), but also secured the top spot on the leaderboard with a massive 60 points, setting the pace for the rest of the tournament.

GAME 1 Erangel:
The first game of the tournament was won by the Los Hermanos Esports, LHSKaalan delivered a standout performance with a whopping 16 finishes, steering his team to a dominant first chicken dinner. His early rotations and smart zone control set the tone for the match. He ended up with 7 finishes and 5 knockouts, proving himself as a valuable player for the team.
With a total of 26 points, LHS was at the top of the leaderboard. The other top two teams were IREX, securing second place with 14 points. 4TRX trailed in third with 11 points, while EGX ended at the bottom with zero impact.
Game 2 Miramar:
4Merical won the second match, 4MREAPER, giving the most blazing performance with 2 finishes and 2 knockouts, the best in the team.
TF×Mafia led the team, picking up 5 finishes and 3 knockouts, earning the MVP title. The match ended with 4Merical securing 15 points, as the winner. Close behind was the OnePlus GDR with 13 points. GOX continued to build momentum with 12 points. TWOB, however, found themselves at the bottom again, unable to break into the final circles.
Game 3 Sanhok:
For Sanhok-Game 3, 4Merical Esports proved their consistency by grabbing another Chicken Dinner. The underdogs played well, where 4MBEARDBABA, outplayed other teammates with 4 finishes and 3 knockouts.
This time, the spotlight shifted to INSANE Yash, who claimed the MVP award with 4 finishes and 4 knockouts. 4M collected another 20 points, solidifying their lead in the overall standings. 4TRX and EGX followed closely with 12 points each, showing they were not far behind.
GAME 4 Sanhok:
AXTMG turned heads in Game 4 on Sanhok, a map known for its “unpredictability” and close fights. They secured 25 points, the highest of any single match so far. AXTMG Devotee earned MVP honors, leading the squad with outstanding 7 finishes and 6 knockouts.
GOX continued their consistent run, picking up 15 points, while TWOB managed a recovery with 11 points.
Game 5 Miramar:
4TRX made their mark in Game 5 with a convincing win, an amazing 20 points. 4TRXINFGOD, played exceptionally well, where he secured 6 finishes and 4 knockouts.
But the spotlight was stolen by OnePlus K9NJOI, who earned the MVP title with a jaw-dropping 9 finishes and 7 knockouts, making him the highest individual finisher of the day. OnePlus K9 secured 17 points thanks to his power play, while KONX showed promise by finishing third with 11 points.
Game 6 Erangel:
The final game of Day 1 once again belonged to 4Merical Esports, who claimed their third Chicken Dinner of the day, this time on Erangel. Their star player, BeardBaba, earning the MVP title with 6 finishes and 4 knockouts. The team racked up another 20 points, ending the day as the undisputed leaders.
GENS, considered a T1 team, impressed with 14 points, showing potential for a Day 2. 8Bit, the pre-tournament favorite, finally made it into the top 3 of a match with 12 points, suggesting a possible comeback.
