BJP President Nadda responds to Congress humorously

BJP National President JP Nadda

NEW DELHI: In response to the Congress party’s outcry over the freezing of its accounts by the Income Tax Department, BJP National President JP Nadda delivered a scathing rebuke, dismissing their claims of financial woes as “comical.” The political feud erupted as Congress leaders accused the ruling dispensation, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of orchestrating a systematic effort to cripple the party financially.

Nadda lambasted Congress for attempting to shift blame onto authorities, asserting that their bankruptcy is not financial but moral and intellectual. He highlighted Congress’s long history of alleged corruption, stating, “For a party which has looted from every sector, in every state and at every moment of history, to talk of financial helplessness is comical.”

During a press conference addressed by top Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi, the party vehemently protested against the freezing of its funds. They accused the government of employing underhanded tactics to stifle their election campaign, thereby compromising the integrity of the electoral process.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi condemned the freezing of funds as a “criminal action” orchestrated by the country’s top leadership. He highlighted the dire financial constraints faced by the party, lamenting their inability to afford necessities such as train tickets for campaign purposes.

In response to Nadda’s remarks, Congress leaders reiterated their stance, emphasising the discriminatory nature of the government’s actions. They underscored the importance of a level playing field in elections and expressed concerns about the implications of blocked funds on their ability to contest effectively.

The feud between BJP and Congress is escalating- While BJP accuses Congress of corruption and incompetence, Congress portrays itself as a victim of targeted persecution by the ruling establishment. As both parties gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the battle for public opinion intensifies, with each side seeking to discredit the other while vying for voter support.
