Aaftab’s Woo-Women Starter Kit: Food Porn, Travel Photos & LGBTQ Support

Butcher boyfriend Aaftab Poonawala’s social media profile has the veneer of a quintessential millennial and an eligible bachelor. He loved to travel, had a food blog, showered love on his dogs and posted the occasional photos with LGBTQ/Pride flag.

His Facebook and Instagram post defies the gruesome nature of the crime he committed.

It is difficult to fathom that this 28-year old man who followed all millennial fads had planned the murder of his live-in partner, 27-year old Shraddha Walkar in minute details.

He flaunted his tattoos with the words, “faith and hope”.

He had plenty of pictures with his female friends and has the propensity to speak in accented English.

His social media profiles are public. Netizens are now wondering if the girls with whom he had clicked the pictures are safe and sound.

He was also involved in food photography and vlogging, and digital marketing for restaurants. His instagram food blog named “hungry chokro escapades” had 28000 followers.

Shraddha and Aaftab met in 2019 on Bumble. Both lived in Mumbai for studies and work. While Walkar worked at call centres, Poonawala was training to be a chef. Later, he joined the same call centre as Walker.

It has emerged that Aaftab Poonawala was adept in chopping goats. He had trained as a chef at a five-star hotel.

The couple moved to Delhi in May following a trip to Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. They took a rented apartment in Chattarpur Pahadi, Delhi, allegedly without proper police verification.

Within three days of shifting Shraddha was brutally killed, her body chopped into 35 parts and parts disposed in forest areas of Chattarpur.

Poonawala has been arrested and locked up in Mehrauli Police Station. Investigations are underway.
