Disturbing footage shows worker urinating in Tsingtao’s beer warehouse | watch

A video that recently went viral on the internet exposed an employee urinating into a container of beer ingredients at the Tsingtao Brewery No. 3 facility in China, leaving beer lovers worldwide in disbelief.

The video, which surfaced last Thursday, depicted a worker, donned in full uniform and a helmet, surreptitiously scaling a high wall to access the container. Once inside, he was caught on camera urinating into the crucial beer ingredients. The video quickly gained traction on social media, garnering tens of millions of views, primarily on Weibo.

In response to the widespread outrage, Tsingtao acted swiftly and reported the incident to the authorities as soon as they were made aware of the video. The company emphasised its commitment to product quality and public safety in an official statement, stating, “Our company attaches high importance to the relevant video that emerged from Tsingtao Brewery No. 3 on October 19.

“We reported the incident to the police at the earliest opportunity, and public security organs are involved in the investigation. At present, the batch of malt in question has been completely sealed. The company continues to strengthen its management procedures and ensure product quality.”

The fallout from the viral video was not confined to the online realm. Tsingtao, a Shanghai-listed company and one of China’s leading beer producers and exporters experienced a significant hit to its shares.

In early trading on Monday, the company’s shares plummeted by as much as 7.5 per cent. Although the company managed to make a partial recovery during the trading day, its shares ultimately closed 3.34 per cent lower at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
