NEW DELHI: As India faces off against New Zealand in the gripping ICC World Cup tournament at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai for the semi-final, it was the heartthrobs of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, John Abraham, alongside Tinseltown’s diva Kiara Advani, who stole the limelight as they witnessed the gripping battle unfold.

Ranbir was present at the match to promote his upcoming film ‘Animal’ where Rashmika Mandanna is the lead actress.

The cricket fever soared to new heights as the celebrities enamoured the stands with their presence, adding glitz and glamour to the already electric atmosphere at the stadium.

Adorned in India’s cricket jersey, Kapoor along with the other actors were seen enthusiastically cheering and waving for the team. The presence of these Bollywood A-listers not only added fervour to the match but also captured the attention of the fans present at the stadium.

‘Shershah’ fame Malhotra will be seen in a Karan Johar action film titled ‘Yodha’ soon while his wife, Advani, will be seen in the sequel to the Kabir Khan directed ‘War’ with Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR. Abraham who recently witnessed the success of ‘Pathaan’ will be seen in a movie titled ‘100%’ alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Nora Fatehi and Shehnaaz Gill.

Earlier, when the two teams of India and New Zealand had faced each other in a major ICC tournament in 2019, the “Men in Blue” suffered a defeat, ironically, in a semi-final match. Indian fans, this time around, are hoping that this time around they will not have to relive another groundhog day.
