West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee often presents herself as a champion of the ‘Muslim cause’ while disregarding the suffering of her Hindu constituents. Despite her initial visit to the site of a tragic train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, a survivor of the incident has revealed that they have not received any financial compensation from the West Bengal government. Mohammad Raju, a crash survivor and manager in Kolkata, stated that while the Odisha government provided ₹2 lakhs as ex-gratia, the Bengal government has yet to offer any assistance, as reported in an exclusive interview with The New Indian.
